Chronodev is a darkroom enlarger timer app I built to solve a problem I kept running into in my own practice: Good enlarger timers are increasingly hard to find, and when they do show up, they tend to be expensive. For those of us who develop at home (in my case, out of my bathroom!), this can be another barrier considering the already high cost-of-entry. Chronodev works with HomeKit-enabled wifi plugs to control darkroom enlargers and safelights, bringing the cost of a reliable timer down to something much more reasonable while fitting naturally into a home darkroom workflow. It allows for timing down to the second (or tenths of a second if you need it), supports adjustments by f-stop, has a metronome function for dodging and burning, and can automatically expose test strips with a handy chart that keeps track of exposure times for you. I'm hoping it helps to introduce more people to the beautifully tactile and rewarding darkroom processes that I've been hooked on since my first print.
